Up front while up front Jonny Gray, Willem Nel, Hamish Watson and Ryan Wilson are also included. For his part, Glasgow Warriors centre Jones, with 10 tries in 16 tests, believes the game will match the intensity of any normal international against Wales.
“Whenever the Home Nations teams face each other it is always intense. It’s a sort of derby mentality, I suppose,” said Jones.

“I’m sure the intensity will be right up there. Wales are a tough team and they showed us that last time we went down there. Hopefully, it’s a nice opportunity to get one back over them before the Six Nations.”
Saturday’s test match will provide an opportunity for Scotland to gain revenge for February’s 34-7 defeat at the same venue in the Six Nations. And Townsend is confident his side will give a better account of themselves this time around.
“We’ve had a productive two weeks, both in St Andrews and Edinburgh, and the players have worked hard to put our game into place,” he said.
“As always we expect a very tough Test match against Wales in Cardiff – a contest that will be physically and technically demanding in a noisy arena. It’s a challenge we look forward to facing.
“Doddie’s a great man who’s been inspirational in his fight against MND and it’s fantastic that we’re able to pay tribute to him and his achievements with this match. This Saturday the best way we, as a team, can pay tribute to him will be through our performance, delivering one in keeping with the occasion and that puts us in a position to make Doddie proud.
“There is an extra incentive that we are playing for a trophy in the shape of the Doddie Weir Cup.”
