All three home matches sell out

The sold-out signs are up for all three of Wales’ home 2016 RBS 6 Nations matches before an international ball has been kicked at the newly named Principality Stadium.

Principality Stadium’s inaugural fixture sees Wales take on Scotland in the Championship second round on Saturday 13th February (4.50pm) and tickets for that match sold-out in October last year.

Now both the mid-tournament match against France, just under a fortnight later (Friday 26th February, 8.05pm), and the final weekend’s clash with Italy (Saturday 19th March, 2.30pm) have reached capacity.

It has been eight years since all three travelling sides from Scotland, Italy and France – who visit biennially in the competition, on rotation with Ireland and England – brought the full set of capacity crowds to Wales’ national ground.

The last time all three fixtures sold out was during head coach Warren Gatland’s debut, Grand Slam-winning, season of 2008.

However, fans who have not yet bought tickets need not miss out on Wales’ latest assault on the RBS 6 Nations title with Welsh rugby clubs, WRU Hospitality, Gullivers Sports Travel and the WRU’s official secondary market partners Seatwave all still an option.

“Supporters are strongly advised to only purchase tickets through official means, in order to ensure they gain access to Principality Stadium on matchday,” said a WRU ticket office spokesperson.

“That means buying from a Welsh rugby club, official WRU hospitality or one of our other officially endorsed outlets, Gullivers Sports Travel and Seatwave.

“A sophisticated barcode system at Principality Stadium means that duplicate or otherwise non-authentic tickets are easily identified and supporters who buy tickets from non-official sources risk being refused entry.”

The WRU’s official ticket resale platform can be accessed online at http://www.seatwave.com/wru .The WRU’s official travel supplier, Gullivers Sports Travel are also offering travel packages to Wales matches at http://gulliverstravel.co.uk/event/rbs-6-nations and Official Hospitality Packages for RBS 6 Nations fixtures are also available from £395pp + VAT, for further information call the WRU team on 02920 822 413 or visit www.wru.co.uk/hospitality

Fans still hungry for more rugby can also purchase tickets for Judgement Day IV, the regional double-header played out at Principality Stadium on Saturday 30th April – from www.wru.wales/tickets.
