Adam Jones has challenged Wales to build on the success of their RBS 6 Nations defence.
The prop claimed his fourth Championship title with the 30-3 victory over England on Saturday.
And Jones reckons Wales should use their latest Six Nations triumph as a springboard to secure victories over the southern hemisphere giants.
Wales have not overcome one of the big three since recording a 21-18 win against Australia in 2008.
“It was the most complete Wales performance of my career,” said Jones.
“We knew how they would approach the game. We wore them down in that first half and in the second half our quality players told.
“It was the best performance I have been a part of and it was made even more special by the atmosphere in the stadium, which was just incredible.”
“But we have never really kicked on. When we have won Grand Slams we have always made a mess of the next year.
“But this year we have backed it up by retaining the title, so it is a case of keeping it going.”
Wales lost all four autumn internationals in Cardiff ahead of the Six Nations and travel to Japan for a two-Test summer tour in June.
South Africa are set to visit the Millennium Stadium next November and Jones reckons there is more to come from the Championship kings.
“Jamie Roberts said there is more to come attack-wise, which is obvious and we have to kick on now,” added Jones.
“We have a lot of young boys coming in to join the core of experienced players and it is looking good for the future.”
