Williams. who lost against the All Blacks for the fourth time in his career said: “New Zealand are a good side and it’s difficult to find a weakness. They are efficient in everything they do. I would say they are up there with the best New Zealand sides I have faced.

“They are not afraid to take chances and kept threatening us throughout the match. Eventually their pressure told.

“Once they got momentum, they didn’t look back. But we only gave away two chances against a top side. “They took their opportunities and we didn’t take ours.”

Wales now face Australia next Saturday in their final Autumn clash and Williams insists the dragons can take the positives from their impressive first-half display.

He said: “That’s the best we’ve played this autumn and we are not a million miles away from them, but there is a still lot of work to do. It is a big week for us”
