Needing a win to make sure of their place in next month’s final, the Ospreys helped themselves to a two-try victory over a Blues side who must now defeat the Dragons in their final game to set up a repeat of last season’s final against the Ospreys.

Outside half Matthew Jarvis and prop Gareth Jenkins bagged tries for the Ospreys with Jarvis adding a conversion and a penalty for good measure. A second half try from replacement scrum half Chris Banfield made sure of the points, Jarvis converting, with Ian Smerdon kicking a consolation penalty for the Blues.

In the other game, the Dragons put themselves within touching distance of the final with a last gasp 11-10 victory over the Scarlets at Llandovery.

Danny Ellis kicked a first half penalty for the Dragons and although they trailed 5-3 at the interval and 10-3 after 50 minutes, the Gwent region struck back with an Adam Hughes try and a last minute penalty from Ellis.
