Summer Signings Given Chance To Shine
Newport Gwent Dragons coach Chris Anderson has named five of their summer signings for his first game in charge against a Gwent Premiership XV this Friday night, 7.15pm.
Ex-Celtic Warriors Kevin Morgan, Gareth Wyatt, Jonathan Bryant and Richard Bryan have all been named by new coach Anderson for the opening pre-season friendly at Cross Keys’ Pandy Park as well as former Rodney Parade hooker James Richards.
It will be Anderson’s first chance to see the talent available to him ahead of the new season though Wales half-backs Ceri Sweeney and Gareth Cooper are both rested.
Ian Gough will captain the side, that includes six internationals, following the decision by Andy Marinos to retire from playing for a position as chief executive at the region.
