The Welsh Women’s Rugby team travel to Toulouse today (Friday) to take part in the European Championships.

Their opening game is on Sunday against Ireland, who they beat in the Six Nations 13-14 back in February. The next round of fixtures will be on Wednesday 5th May. Depending on the results of the first round Wales will play either England or Italy. The final fixtures are on Saturday 8th May.

Lead by 22-year-old captain Mel Berry, the squad will be looking to improve on their Six Nations performances, and with the Europeans carrying World Cup qualifying points, their results will prove vital.
