21 mins: Jones defensive kick from just outside the 22 finds touch. Newport lineout. Newport win a penalty. Montgomery’s kick hits the post.

40 mins: Stephen Jones kicks off, and Jason Forster knocks on. Llanelli move the ball through the backs, but knock on, Newport scrum.

42 mins: Tounu’u puts up the Garryowen, and Evans deals with it excellently again.

43 mins: The sides exchange kicks.

44 mins: Lovely break by Leigh Davies, he runs into Newport territory, and finds Quinnell who in turn finds Watkins, but the move breaks down as Watkins’ pass goes to ground.

48 mins: Llanelli playing the game in Newport territory, but they can’t find the final pass.

49 mins: Newport win the lineout, and drive into Llanelli territory, Howarth chips into the 22, and Davies clears to touch.

80 +3mins: Newport unable to make yards with the drive, Dwayne Peel does well as he fields the kick and wriggles into space, his pass finds skipper Davies who runs straight thought the beleaguered Newport defence to score.. Jones misses the conversion (LLANELLI 25 NEWPORT 9)

80+5 mins; Llanelli rampant, they have a 5-0 overlap on the right hand side after Jones makes the break, but the pass goes to the left, and the chance is wasted.

80+6 mins: Newport’s defence is blown apart; Dwayne Peel takes the ball from the back of the scrum, passes to Finau, who scores Llanelli’s fourth try. Jones adds the conversion. (LLANELLI 32 NEWPORT 9)
