The Shoguns made Swansea pay for beating them the previous weekend with a comprehensive 41-23 victory at the Memorial Stadium.
The home side went off with a bang and were 26-3 ahead at half-time with Gibson already on the scoresheet. Swansea were all at sea in that first half, yet the Whites hit back to win the second half 20-15.
Shane Drahm landed four penalties in the first half to punish the visitors for their errors and two tries in the space of seven minutes at the start of the second half sealed Swansea’s fate.
Two late tries from Swansea gave the score a veneer of respectability, but the Shoguns will be well pleased with this result.
