Jones admits to knowing little about the Romanian or opponents on Friday 1st and 9th November respectively, but he is relishing the Canadian challenge on 16th November at the Millennium Stadium.
‘We’ve got a couple of American and Canadian guys playing at Llanelli, Jamie Cudmore has just recently signed, and he is a very good player, definitely one to watch.
‘Then there are the likes of John Tait and Dan Baugh who are playing excellently for Cardiff.’
Canada are ranked 11th in the world, three places below Wales, and will be sure to take the game to Wales, in a bid to boost confidence as part of their World Cup preparations.
‘We can’t take this game lightly, they have some excellent players and are going to be formidable,’ added Jones.
But Jones will have to wait a little bit longer to see if he has made Steve Hansen’s squad of 22.
‘I’m just hoping to be involved – we are all up for selection, and we’re just waiting to see who will be in the 22.’
The squad of 22 will be announced on Sunday 27th October.
