Scorch Quiz:Hallam Amos

Neath Have Good And Bad News.

It was good news and bad news for Neath coach Lyn Jones when he saw top scorer and fly half Lee Jarvis extend his contract, but at the same time the club had two friendly matches called off by their opponents.
Jarvis signed up with Neath for another two years, meaning that he will be at the Gnoll until at least the end of the 2004-05 season.
Coach Jones said: “Lee was keen to extend his contract for a further two years. We have created an environment in which he is comfortable and his game has improved significantly over the last season.
“He had a difficult few years before joining us at Neath, moving from club to club without ever fulfilling his potential. Commiting himself to us at the Gnoll is a good long-term decision for him as it will allow him to build on the good work he has put in over the last year.”
Bourgoin and Harlequins were the clubs to cancel friendly matches, but Neath will meet Pontypridd at the Dairy Field, Llanharan on Saturday (Aug 10) for the Gareth Llewellyn testimonial.
Another piece of bad news was that lock forward Steve Martin has suffered a ruptured appendix and is expected to miss the first two matches of the season.
