Harding, who played splendidly throughout the match, was born in Australia but is related to the pre-war Wales captain, Rowe Harding of Swansea.
Harding played 17 times for Wales on the wing from 1923 until 1928 and appeared in the Wales side that lost
19-0 to the 1924 All Blacks at Swansea.
He was the great-uncle of Sam, but died in 1991 at the age of 89.
