North Wales Lift Counties Cup

NORTH WALES 36, BRECONSHIRE 7
North Wales in five tries to sink Breconshire in the Welsh Counties Cup final and win the title for the first time since 1967 at Talgarth.
Pwllheli flanker Richard Hughes led the way with a brace of tries and there were other scores from New Brighton centre Emrys Evans, Ruthin scrum half Rhys Hughes and Chester lock Gareth Sanger.
Dylan Llyr, of Pwllheli, bagged three conversions and a penalty and there was also a penalty for nant Conwy’s Peredur Ellis.
The only response from Breconshire came in the shape of a try from full back Gary Evans which centre Rob Lloyd converted.
