Reid Returns For Glasgow

Roland Reid will make his comeback for Glasgow tomorrow [Saturday 20 April] after 10 weeks’ absence because of a knee injury.
Glasgow have called on the Scotland wing in his other guise as No.8 for the Welsh/Scottish League match against Llanelli at Stradey Park.
Reid, whose last game for Glasgow was at Pontypridd on 9 February, resumes among five changes in the team who started in the match that Glasgow lost against Neath at The Gnoll last Saturday.
James McLaren and Gordon McIlwham also return after injury. But their fellow international, Jason White, has not recovered from the back strain that forced him out of the team on the morning of the Neath game, and another Scotland cap, Andrew Henderson, has been rested.
McLaren, who took a knock on his back in Scotland’s Cardiff international two weeks ago, and Jon Stuart will be at centre tomorrow in place of Alan Bulloch and Henderson.
Reid takes over at No.8 from Jon Petrie, who damaged a calf muscle last Saturday.
Guy Perrett, who replaced White in the starting XV at The Gnoll, and Andy Hall will be the lock pairing, the latter called in as Steve Griffiths is still recovering from his shoulder/neck blow last Saturday, and McIlwham will be tight head in place of Lee Harrison, who has tonsillitis.
Two other recent absentees, David Hilton and Tommy Hayes, return to duty among the substitutes. If Hayes plays tomorrow it will be his 100th game for Glasgow.
Because of the continuing absence of Andy Nicol and Chris Black, Glasgow have called up Watsonians’ Chris Cusiter as stand-by scrum half.
Tomorrow’s match will kick off 2.30pm. Glasgow’s team:
Glenn Metcalfe; Jon Steel, James McLaren, Jon Stuart, Michael Bartlett; Calvin Howarth, Graeme Beveridge; Cameron Blades, Gordon Bulloch (captain), Gordon McIlwham, Andrew Hall, Guy Perrett, Gordon Simpson, Donnie Macfadyen, Roland Reid
Substitutes – Dougie Hall, David Hilton, Colin Stewart, Tom McLaren, Chris Cusiter, Alan Bulloch, Tommy Hayes
