Cardiff’s international full-back Rhys Williams picked up a hand injury against Ebbw Vale last Saturday. Medical examination has confirmed that he has a minor fracture below the little finger of his left hand.
Chief executive Robert Norster said,
“Rhys’ injury will prevent him taking part in contact training for ten days although all other aspects of his fitness training can continue. Rather than risk further damage we will not consider him in our team selection for this weekend’s league match at Pontypridd.”
Williams has played in 20 of the club’s 23 matches this season and heads the try-scoring list with 11 to his name.
