Fleming took up one of the first retainer contracts in January 2023, balancing training and working parttime as an NHS physio.
She missed the TikTok Women’s Six Nations through injury but worked her way back into the World Cup squad having spent time with Wales Sevens during the 2023 Rugby Europe programme.
She carried on working on Wednesdays and Sundays in July prior to the World Cup but began training full-time at the start of August 2023.
