Will Jones

Former Wales U20 captain Will Jones hails from Penclawdd, and was once a GB Cadet judo champion – a martial arts discipline that comes in very useful for a flanker. He led his country at the World Rugby U20 Championship in Georgia in 2017 – a role he had already fulfilled in that year’s U20 Six Nations.

Jones has enjoyed domestic and European rugby with Ospreys, including appearances against the likes of Munster, Saracens and Clermont.

His sevens call-up was something of a whirlwind, coming into the squad for the 2020 Sydney Sevens at late notice with little experience of the game, and even scoring a try in only his second game (his first was against none other than series leaders New Zealand).
