Smith was first selected for Wales in the Singapore and Vancouver legs of the 2021/22 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
A teacher by profession, he is the Director of Wellbeing at Brentwood School. He first started playing rugby for Brentford RFC as a nine-year and played on the Invitational sevens circuit with Ramblin Jesters.
