The Wales Women’s Senior squad hosted inspirational rugby player Frankie Shaw at Cardiff Arms Park last week.

She came with her dad, Gareth, to spend the morning with the squad after the sad passing of her mum Myfanwy.

Frankie, nine, plays for Dinas Powys Under-9s and came to visit the squad who had been training hard in the Welsh capital ahead of the tour to Australia and RWC 2025.

Frankie’s Mum Miffy (short for Myfanwy) collapsed at home and the youngster had the presence of mind to call her dad who was not home at the time, who performed CPR until an ambulance arrived.

Her mum was taken to hospital where she was in a critical condition and sadly passed away.

Frankie’s club reached out to the WRU requesting that she visit the Wales Women’s senior national squad as she is their biggest supporter.

The Wales squad spent the morning talking and meeting Frankie where she was presented with a signed Wales shirt on behalf of the whole squad.
