Burgess names Wales U23 side to face Army

Wales Women U20 linging up against USA Women U20 in last year's Transatlantic Quad Series

Head coach Liza Burgess has named the Wales Women U23s squad for a training game against the Army at Ystrad Mynach, on Saturday, April 26th (KO:2:30pm).

Welsh internationals Gwennan Hopkins, Meg Davies, Mollie Wilkinson and Amelia Tutt have been named in the starting line-up for a warm up game ahead of the WU20s Six Nations tournament in the summer.

Gwalia Lightning Number 8 Hopkins, Brython Thunder fly half Wilkinson and  Leicester Tigers wing Tutt are part of a Wales U23s side with the bulk of players who played in this season’s Celtic Challenge.

Hopkins and Molly Anderson-Thomas are the co-captains for the game against a senior Army side with free entry for supporters to the training base for what promises to be a key development fixture on Welsh soil.
