Deaths Of Two Fine Rugby Men.

The death has occurred of the former Swansea prop Neil Webb, who skippered his club in the 1976 Welsh Cup final against Llanelli.
Webb took over the captaincy after British Lion Mervyn Davies had suffered a serious injury in the semi-final against Pontypool. However, Llanelli won the final by 16-4.
Former Cross Keys scrum half Alex Givvons, who became a loose forward in Rugby League with Oldham, has died at the age of 88.
Givvons, from Pill in Newport, turned professional in 1932 and was capped by Wales at that code. He gave 60 years to Oldham and Huddersfield as player, coach and committeeman, winning the RL Cup with Huddersfield, but being honoured in Oldham by having a street – Givvons Fold – named after him three years ago.
